ABILENE - Ice and freezing rain have forced the cancellation of Sunday's baseball doubleheader at Abilene Christian's Crutcher Scott Field.
Missouri State was scheduled to play Grand Canyon at 11 a.m., and the Wildcats vs. the defending Big 12 Champions Kansas State at 3 p.m. during the final day of the Bourland-Ardoin Classic. But with temperatures not expected to rise above freezing today ACU's coaching staff opted to cancel the games shortly after 8 a.m.
The Wildcats (6-2) will return to action Tuesday for the start of a two-game series at Oklahoma. The Sooners (7-3) had their game rained out yesterday in Surprise, Ariz., but are scheduled to face Gonzaga today at noon.
This week's forecast for Oklahoma calls for mostly clear skies with high temperatures in the 40s and 50s.
