Final results
DUNCAN, Okla. – The ACU golf team closed out its fall schedule Tuesday afternoon with a fourth-place finish in rainy conditions at The Territory Classic.
St. Edward's led after Monday's rain-delayed first round and cruised home with a 19-stroke victory over Incarnate Word. The Hilltoppers shot rounds of 292-295 for a two-round total of 587 over the par-72, 7,000-yard Territory Country Club. Incarnate Word rallied from fourth after the first round to finish second with rounds of 307-299–606.
West Texas A&M was third at 309-304, while ACU tied the hosts from Cameron University for fourth. ACU shot rounds of 307-308–615, while the Aggies shot rounds of 304-311–615.
Trey Sullivan was ACU's top finisher as he followed up Monday's first-round 72 with a second-round 74 to finish tied for fifth in the individual medalist standings at 146. Junior
Corbin Renner bounced back from Monday's 77 to fire a final-round 74 to finish 12th at 151.
ACU's other finishers were
Robert Johnson (tied for 39th at 76-82–158),
Hunter Rawls (tied for 45th at 82-78–160) and
Kyle Kennedy (tied for 72nd at 83-89–172).
