Addition Of Corrie Reeder Completes 2012 Recruiting Class

ABILENE - Abilene Christian head volleyball coach Kellen Mock today announced the addition of first team all-state honoree Corrie Reeder to the Wildcats' 2012 roster. A native of Shady Shores, Texas, Reeder signed with ACU earlier this spring, raising the program's number of incoming freshmen to four.
ACU's 2012 recruiting class also includes December signees Madison Hoover, Jennifer Loerch, and Sarah Siemens.
Reeder comes to Abilene following a stellar four-year career at Denton (Texas) Calvary Academy, which she led to a 23-5 record during her senior year of 2011. She's also been named first team all-district and state, earned defensive player awards at the team, district, and area levels, and been tabbed to the state all-tournament team.
Mock said she's excited to have the 6-foot-1 middle blocker join this season's squad.
"Corrie's a really dominant player who brings a significant physical presence onto to the court," said the seventh-year head coach. "I expect that she'll push hard to play early in her career, and that she's the type of person who fits perfectly on our team. On the court she's all about effort and determination, and off the court she's sweet and kind."
A future communications major at ACU, Reeder made both the all-state and district academic teams who twice placed at state competitions in the fields of graphic design and photography with her school's with Industrial Technology Club.
