DENTON – The red-hot ACU softball team ran its record to 12-1 on Saturday with two more wins as the Wildcats knocked off Texas A&M International and St. Edward's at the Premier Spring Fling.

The Wildcats knocked off Texas A&M International, 6-3, before beating St. Edward's, 6-0.  ACU will complete its tournament run Sunday at 9 a.m. against Pittsburg State (Kan.).

In the win over International, the Wildcats battled back from a 3-0 deficit to pick up the win.  ACU scored two runs in the third, tied it with a single run in the fourth and then put the game away with three runs in the fourth.

Megan Brigance drove in a pair of runs, while Madison Buckley, Keanna Winkfield, Kimberly Briggs and Courtney Flanary each drove in a run for the Wildcats.

Shelby Hall (3-0) bounced back from giving up those three runs in the bottom of the first to allow just two hits and no runs over the final six innings.

In the win over St. Edward's, Caitlyn Crain scattered seven singles over seven innings and struck out five batters to pick up the win and improve to 5-0 on the season.
