Wildcats In The Community: SAAC Assists At Abilene Zoo Fundraiser

ABILENE - ACU Student-Athlete Advisory Committee members spent their Saturday morning at the Abilene Zoo, where they helped set up and decorate treat shops for its annual 'Boo at the Zoo' fundraiser.
The Wildcats also provided assistance to the local business groups and the non-profit organizations in attendance by helping them haul in bags of candy, pumpkins and hay bales.
The participating businesses and organizations gave away free candy and treats throughout the zoo to several hundred costumed youngsters and their parents, thus providing a safe trick-or-treat experience for all Abilene and Big Country families.
All money raised goes back to the operation of the zoo. Last year's event raised approximately $20,000.
