LAST TIME OUT
The Wildcats dropped two of three at Texas Woman's last weekend to fall in a tie for third place in the Lone Star South. A pair of home runs from freshman Lyndi Smith helped propel ACU to an 8-6 win in game one of the series, however, the Wildcat offense failed to produce in games two and three. Freshman Peyton Mosely has helped pick up the Wildcat pitching staff as she earned her fifth win of the season on Friday night only allowing three hits in relief. Senior Brittany Rexroat still leads the Wildcats in wins at 9-7 and complete games with eight as head coach Bobby Reeves will look to his senior to help carry ACU down the stretch with three conference series left on the schedule. After having her 16 game hitting streak snapped Missy Mendoza continues to lead the Wildcats in hitting at a .423 clip. Her 69 hits are tops in the LSC and are also 17 hits shy of the single season mark set by Chantiel (McDonald) Wilson in 1997. The Wildcats final conference series includes a road trip to first place Angelo State and conclude the season at home against Tarleton State. The Rambelles currently lead the South Division while the TexAnns are in sixth place behind the Wildcats who are tied for third place with WTAMU, but hold the tie breaker over the Lady Buffs. The top four teams from each division earn a spot in next month's Lone Star Conference Tournament in Durant, Oklahoma.

THE OPPONENTS
Texas A&M-Kingsville: The Javelinas carry an identical 22-22 overall record with the Wildcats into this weekend's series. TAMUK has dropped their last six games including last weekend's series with West Texas A&M. Lindsey Brown and Kaycee Bryan lead the Javelins offensively as Brown is hitting .360 with four home runs while Bryan is hitting .359 with five triples and 20 RBIs. Amanda Arriaga is their workhorse compiling nearly 200 innings pitched with a 12-17 record and a 3.28 ERA. Arriaga also has 107 strikeouts on the season ranking her ninth best in conference play.
