ABILENE – Kellen Mock and the ACU volleyball team ran their winning streak to seven on Saturday afternoon with a 3-0 win over Tarleton State inside Moody Coliseum.
The Wildcat defense was solid Saturday allowing the TexAnns to a hitting percentage above .100 in only one set, the first. ACU worked a sweep taking the games 25-18, 25-21, and 25-8 finishing off TSU in dominating fashion.
ACU returns to the road next week in LSC action at Texas Woman's on Thursday and at Texas A&M-Commerce on Saturday.
Seniors IJ Moronu and
Shawna Hines were solid leading ACU defensively with five blocks a piece. Moronu also added eight digs ending her streak of seven double-doubles.
Junior
Jennie Hutt was the only Wildcat in double figure kills with 10 hitting .261 clip. Moronu added 30 assists for the Wildcats pacing the offense. As a team the ACU hit .283 while holding Tarleton State to .034 hitting percentage.
