SAN ANGELO – The ACU Wildcats ran their winning streak to five straight matches Tuesday night as they opened Lone Star Conference play with a victory over Angelo State at the Junell Center.

The Wildcats knocked off their LSC rival in three straight games, 25-17, 25-15 and 25-19, to improve to 7-2 overall and 1-0 in the LSC.  The Rambelles, meanwhile, fall to 3-6 and 0-1 on the season.  ACU will play its first home match of the season Saturday at 2 p.m. when it continues LSC play against Tarleton State, which is 9-0 after beating Texas College on Tuesday.
