Wildcats head to Cameron

LAWTON, OK – The Wildcats end an eight-game road swing in Oklahoma as they will play a twin bill with Cameron in a Lone Star Conference crossover game. Thursday's game was originally scheduled for Tuesday, but was rescheduled after thunderstorms crossed through the south portion of Oklahoma earlier in the week.

FIRST PITCH
The Wildcats will try to get back on the winning track at Cameron on Thursday. ACU dropped a doubleheader at Midwestern State last week 0-6 and 5-10. It was the second matchup between the Wildcats and Mustangs in a week as they split a doubleheader two weeks ago. The Wildcats will look for more consistent pitching from their pitching staff after freshmen Shelby Hall has emerged as the ACU ace despite her 3-6 record. At the plate ACU has saw their average as a team drop under .300 for the first time this season after finding tough luck on a few hard hit balls.

SERIES HISTORY
ACU leads the series 28-13. The Wildcats and Aggies will meet up for the third and fourth time this season after meeting twice in Abilene at the CBS Insurance Classic. Both teams took a win each in the round robin tournament. Last year the Wildcats and Aggies split the season series with ACU taking the game in Abilene while Cameron won a one-run game in San Antonio.

UP NEXT
ACU has two series over spring break starting with a non-conference doubleheader with future LSC opponent Incarnate Word. The Wildcats will end next weekend with a LSC opening series with Texas Woman's in a three game series. The five games start a home-stand for the Wildcats before traveling to Durant, Oklahoma for the Annual Lone Star Conference Crossover Tournament.
