Quick Notes on the Wildcats and this weekend's games:

National Attention: The Wildcats open the season ranked No. 17 according to the NFCA NCAA Division II poll.  After winning a school record 43 games and being ranked as high as No. 13 last year, the Wildcats are one of three Lone Star Conference teams ranked in the poll.  South favorite Angelo State is ranked No. 19 after finishing the 2009 season at No. 4 and West Texas A&M enters the season at No. 22.

California Dreamin': Eight new Wildcats come from the Golden State with current Wildcats Jenny Kulp, and Caitlin Nabors.   Junior College transfers Candice Miller, Shawna Barrow, Melissa Mendoza, Stephanie Tingle, Andi Anti, and Ashley Peterson are all in their first season with ACU coming from California.  Wilson also added two freshmen from the west coast state with Amy Bransford and Tori Hoffman.

Super Sunday:  While this Sunday is known as “Super Bowl Sunday” the Wildcats will play their final game of the tournament in the morning.  ACU will play future LSC South foe Incarnate Word at 10 a.m. which will still give Wildcat fans a chance to follow them and plenty of time to catch all the Super Bowl coverage.
