Tickets on sale for Saturday

MARYVILLE, Mo. – The ACU Wildcats will continue their 2009 season Saturday at noon when they take on second-ranked Northwest Missouri State in a second-round NCAA Division II playoff game at Bearcat Stadium. Kickoff is set for noon.
The Wildcats (9-3) advanced to the second round thanks to last Saturday's 24-21 comeback win at Midwestern State. ACU trailed 14-7 at halftime, but rallied for 17 second-half points to secure the program's first road victory in the NCAA Division II playoffs.
Northwest Missouri State (10-1) won the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association, and as the No. 2 seed, the Bearcats earned a first-round bye. The winner of Saturday's game will advance to the NCAA Division II quarterfinals against either Tarleton State or Central Washington.
ACU holds a 2-1-1 all-time series edge on the Bearcats, but that Northwest win came last November when the Bearcats beat ACU, 45-35, in the quarterfinal round of the playoffs in Abilene. The Wildcats have beaten Northwest in each of the last two season-openers, including a 19-14 win in Abilene back in August that was broadcast nationally on CBS College Sports.
ACU has been allotted 557 tickets for Saturday's game, and those tickets can be reserved by calling the ACU ticket office at 325-674-6853. All tickets are general admission tickets and are $12 for everyone except current Northwest Missouri and ACU students, whose tickets are $5 apiece with a current ID. The $12 cost includes children.
Fans who are planning to reserve tickets through the ACU ticket office must do so by 11 a.m. Friday so that the list can be sent to the Northwest Missouri State ticket office. Fans can pay for and pick up their tickets Saturday at the southeast ticket gate at Bearcat Stadium.
Northwest accepts cash and checks only as payment for tickets. No credit card payments will be accepted.
The game will be broadcast in Abilene on KYYW 1470 AM, but ACU will not offer a Web stream. The radio pre-game show will begin at 11:30 a.m.
However, fans who want to see and hear the game are not out of luck. The NCAA will provide a free video / audio Web stream of the game, which can be found here.
