ABILENE -- Ray Nunez, one of the fiercest players in the history of ACU football, and former all-America golfer Jeev Singh lead a group of five former ACU student-athletes who will be inducted into the ACU Sports Hall of Fame in October.

Other set for induction are former track and field standout Mazel Thomas, former pitcher Sam Carpenter and longtime assistant football coach James Lyda.

The Class of 2007 will be officially into the hall during the 23rd annual Hall of Fame festivities, Oct. 19, 207, at 7 p.m. at the Teague Special Events Center.  Tickets to the luncheon are $20 per person and can be purchased by calling the ACU athletics offices at 325-674-2353.  With the addition of the five members of this year's class, the ACU Sports Hall of Fame now includes 126 men and women.
