UNIVERSITY SETTING:The State of Texas licensure exam requires a student athletic trainer to have 1800 hours of observation under the supervision of a Licensed Athletic Trainer. The student must also complete classes as directed by the State of Texas. The ACU Athletic Training Program has many different learning settings for its student athletic trainers to experience. There is the traditional university setting where the student athletic trainer observes, receives instruction, and is allowed to practice his/her skills in a controlled environment under the supervision of staff members.

ACTION SPORTSMEDICINE CLINIC: This is a great experience for advanced student athletic trainers because it allows them to experience the workplace and to master the skills that have been taught.
