Wildcats sign New Mexico standout
A.J. Porterfield chooses ACU

ABILENE -- A.J. Porterfield, one of the top prep players in New Mexico
last season, has signed a binding national letter-of-intent to play his
college basketball at ACU.
Porterfield, a 6-2 guard, averaged 18 points per game last season at
Clovis High School. He was a first team all-district and all-state selection,
and was chosen to play in the North South All-Star Game this summer in Albuquerque,
N.M.
Porterfield is the first player to sign with the Wildcats during the
spring signing season.
