Bryan Bruning ('08) has served in ACU Athletics administration since April 2024, and was promoted to executive associate athletic director for internal operations in June 2025. He was previously ACU's associate athletic director for business operations.

Bruning's current responsibilities include the program's business office, facilities, game management, equipment operations and human resources.

Prior to working at ACU, Bruning spent 15 years in public secondary education at both Abilene ISD (2010-2019) and Wylie ISD (2019-2024). He served in a variety of teaching, coaching, and administrative roles. His most recent role was as an athletic coordinator with Wylie ISD.

Bruning graduated with his bachelor's degree with an emphasis on physics, math and communication from ACU in 2008. He attended ACU's K-12 Digital Learning Institute for teachers in 2011 and 2012, and earned his Master of Education from Texas A&M in 2015.

Bruning has served as a Sunday school teacher at Beltway Park Church in Abilene, and volunteered with Wylie Little League.

He is married to his wife, Lindi, and the couple have three children: Collin, Ella and Dillon.
