Blinn College (2008):
Recorded a 7-2 record as a freshman starting in eight games and appearing in 10. She posted a 2.30 ERA in 54.2 innings pitched. Walked just 11 hitters, struck out 28 and held opponents to a .265 batting average.

High School:
Played four seasons for head coach Cassie Crabtree at Forney High School. She posted a 0.52 ERA her senior season on her way to all-state honors. Benedict was a four-time all-district selection, and was named all-area and all-region her final season. She helped her team to a 40-8 record her final season.
