Funk provided strong play last year as a freshman, and he is expected to provide the same for the Wildcats this year. Last year Funk’s lowest scoring tournament was at the Kickingbird Classic, where he shot a 219 at the 54-hole tournament. His best personal round of play was the second round at the South Central Regional Tournament, where he shot a 70. As a senior in high school, Funk finished second in the medalist race at the Class 2A state tournament. Born 10 August 1987. 2005 graduate of Lago Vista High School.
