2012-13 (Senior): Finished stellar career with a NCAA record 20 collegiate tournament victories … Won his 20th title at the Dallas Baptist Classic hosted by the Hackberry Country Club in Irving, Texas (6-under-par 210) and was immediately featured in the ‘Faces in the Crowd’ section of the April 22, 2013 issue of Sports Illustrated … The victory was his fourth straight of the spring and fifth of the season … Ranked No. 1 among all NCAA D-II golfers in the Golfstat head-to-head rankings and ranked third with a 71.47 scoring average … Received second Jack Nicklaus Award as the NCAA Division II Golfer of the Year in June of 2013 … First team all-America, all-region and all-Lone Star Conference … Accepted fourth-straight Player of the Year award from the Lone Star Conference as well as its Male Athlete of the Year award … Recognized by Abilene Christian as its Male Athlete of the Year (Paul Goad Award) for the second time in three years … Won a pair of team matches and halved two singles contests during his second appearance in three years at the Palmer Cup, helping the United States claim its third win over Europe in four years, 20.5-9.5 … Placed among top-10 individuals at all 12 tournaments, including a fifth-place showing at conference (+5 – 221) and sixth-place finish at regionals (-4 – 212) … Started spring tied for sixth at James S. 2011-12 (Junior): Second Team All-America and First Team All-Lone Star Conference … Lone Star Conference Player of the Year … Won three fall tournaments as well as the Lone Star Conference Championship with a 3-under-par 213 … Shot par on the final two holes of the conference championship to edge Ben Hargis of West Texas A&M by one stroke … Was the lone NCAA Division II player and first Wildcat in program history invited to competed at the Western Refining College All-America Golf Classic in El Paso, Texas … Placed among the top-20 collegians with a five-over-221 … Began the spring portion of the season with four consecutive top-10 showings at tournaments hosted by New Orleans, St. Edward’s, UST Mamiya, and Grand Canyon … Averaged 71.86 shots per round with a low score of 65, which he shot on Abilene’s Diamondback Golf Course during the first day at the Charles Coody West Texas Intercollegiate … Won the ACU-hosted event with a two-round score of 134 … Captured first place at the Ryan Palmer Foundation Invitational with a three-round, 8-under-par 208, and was first the following week at the Bruce Williams Memorial Invitational with a 7-under-par 209 … Named Lone Star Conference Golfer of the Week after leading ACU to a fourth-place showing at the Grand Canyon Thunderbird Invitational … Finished tied for seventh at 5-under-par-216 against a field that included six of the nation’s top-20 teams.
