Biography
Fall 2008: As a freshmen Carpenter made a big impact winning the Charles Coody West Texas Intercollegiate tournament. He fired back-to-back rounds of 2-under 69 as he won the title on the fourth hole after finishing in a three way tie. He helped ACU to a third place team finish at the Bruce Williamas Memorial as he recorded a three day total of 233 placing 22nd. Was 9-over finishing in the top 50 at the Queens Invitational at the world famous TPC Sawgrass where the Wildcats finished 5th.
High School: Finished a stellar prep career as he was a three-time All-State golfer as Arkansas Baptist High. Helped his high school team to four state titles in Arkansas. Finished second individually as a junior and was third as a senior at the Arkansas State Tournament at Balboa Country Club. He held a 34.1 scoring average for nine hole tournaments as a senior. Was a member of Arkansas Golf Association, Texas Junior Golf Association, and American Junior Golf Association. Had his best finish with the AJGA at the Payne Stewart Bass Pro Open in Springfield, Missouri finishing ninth. Recorded five top 25 finishes during his AJGA career and four top 10 finishes on the Texas Junior Golf Tour, including a runner-up finish at Indian Creek Golf Course in Dallas. As a member of the Arkansas State Golf Association Carpenter recorded six tournament wins and was ranked No. 2 in Arkansas entering his senior year of high school. He also participated in the First Tee Junior Golf Program where he earned 10 victories from 2004-05. Carpenter also played basketball where he was a four year starter at guard and participated in soccer.
Personal: Born 26 June, 1990. 2009 graduate of Arkansas Baptist High in Little Rock, Arkansas. His brother Alex also signed to play at ACU.
