Biography
Spring 2010: During his spring season Bouniol became the second National Champion in ACU history behind Jeev Singh … picking up the individual National Championship earned Bouniol the Lone Star Conference’s top honor as Male Athlete of the Year … his win at the NCAA South Central Region was one of three tournament victories with the first coming at the LSC Championships also his first collegiate victory … his national rating finished at No. 5 with an average score of 71 in 12 tournaments … the all-America helped lead the Wildcats to two team victories as he earned first team all-LSC honors … also Bounio earned the Arnold Palmer Award and was again named to the PING all-America first team
Fall 2009: Entered his junior campaign as the Wildcat’s top golfer with a National Rating of 43 by golfstat.com. Finished with two top 10 finishes during the fall in four tournaments. Had his best finish with a third place tie at the Territory Classic in Duncan, Oklahoma helping ACU as a team also to a third place finish. Shot his season low 69 at Dominion Country Club in the Bruce Williams Memorial Invite helping ACU to consecutive third place finishes. Finished sixth at the Queens Invitational as the Wildcats placed fifth on the world famous TPC Sawgrass.
Spring 2009: After a great freshmen season Bouniol capped off his sophomore season earning First Team LSC honors. With three top 5 finishes, and six finshes of 20th or better out of seven tournament Bouniol has established himself as a top golfer in the Lone Star Conference. Finished the season with a national rating of 43 in NCAA Division II with an average score of 72.6. Shot a season low 68 in the first round of the Lone Star Conference Tournament to start -4, as he finished -3 and tied for 14.
Fall 2008: Bouniol built off a solid spring season by finishing in the top eight spots individually in all four fall tournaments. He tied for third at the Charles Coody Invitational in Abilene, placed second at the Northeastern State Classic, was fourth at the Grand Canyon Fall Invitational, and tied for eighth at the Territory Classic. He averaged 70.6 over 10 rounds of competition in the fall.
Spring 2008: Transferred in at semester and made an immediate impact, especially late in the season. Bouniol tied for fourth place at the Lone Star Conference Championships, helping the Wildcats to a second place finish while averaging just under 74 for three rounds. Then he tied for 18th place at the NCAA II Regional, averaging just above 71 for the three-round tournament, again helping ACU to a second-place finish.
International Play (France): Played on the French Boys National team as a prepster.
