2008 (Junior):
Spent most of her time at rightfield for ACU appearing in all 60 games and starting in 57. Hit .291, scored 50 runs, had one triple, hit four home runs and had 27 RBI. She drew 32 walks and carried a .409 on-base percentage; she was second on the team with 12 sacrifice hits. McElvain hit a 3-run homer and drove in five runs when ACU defeated No. 11-ranked Emporia State 12-4 Feb. 7.
2006-07 (Diablo Valley College):
Played two years at centerfield for Diablo Valley College. Was a two-time all-Big 7 selection. She was also voted to the all-Northern California team and a junior college all-American her sophomore year (2007).
High school:
Was a four-year letterwinner for head coach Rich Barrios at Liberty High School (Calif.). Was voted captain her senior season (2005) and was also a first-team all-BVAL (Bay Valley) selection. Off the diamond, McElvain was awarded the Make a Difference Award at Liberty High School in 2005.
