Biography

Could be one of the top five golfers for ACU this year after a strong fall showing and a stellar junior college career. Manning played two years at Tyler Junior College (TJC) before coming to ACU.  In 2006 he helped TJC finish 4th at the NJCAA tournament.  That same year he was awarded all-state honors at the Texas Junior College Championship; he was a medalist and all-region selection at the regional tournament.  He finished the 2006-year ranked No. 3 nationally by the NJCAA.  He was a three-year letterwinner for head coach Buck Buchanon at Marshall High School.  Manning was a three-time all-district selection, district 13-4A medalist at district during his junior and senior seasons,  and he was a second team all-state selection during his junior season.  Manning was also voted the Texas Junior Golf Tour’s Player of the Year in 2002. Born 26 May 1886. 2004 graduate of Marshal High School.
