Program-Best Five Wildcats Named Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars by GCAA

NORMAN, Okla. - A program-best five Abilene Christian men's golfers were named 2025-26 Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars, the Golf Coaches Association of America announced Monday. Thomas Buisson, Tres Hill, Jack Hollingsed, Grégoire Hoyeau and Colin Leonard were each recognized for their academic and athletic success.
The Wildcats are one of just 23 Division I programs with at least five golfers to receive the academic recognition this past season. It marks the 12th consecutive season that an ACU golfer has been named an All-America Scholar and the eighth straight year that multiple Wildcats have garnered such distinction. At least three golfers have made the list in six of the past seven years.
Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars must be at least sophomores academically and athletically, participate in at least 50% of their team's rounds, register a stroke average under 76.0 and maintain a cumulative career grade point average of at least 3.2. Honorees must be of high moral character and in good standing at their university.
Over 600 golfers from more than 200 Division I programs collected All-America Scholar distinction.
It's the third consecutive season Hoyeau has been recognized as an All-America Scholar, while Buisson earned the accolade for the second time in his career.
Hoyeau and Hollingsed were each named Academic All-District by College Sports Communicators in June. They registered a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5 and appeared in 75% of the Wildcats' team scoring events. Each of ACU's Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars were tabbed Academic All-Western Athletic Conference this past season.
Buisson and Hoyeau each graduated in May to close out four-year careers at ACU. Buisson landed on the All-WAC First Team, while Hoyeau garnered All-WAC Second Team recognition for the second season in a row. Hill joined him on the Second Team.
Hollingsed returns to anchor the Wildcats' lineup in his junior campaign in 2026-27. It's ACU's first season under head coach Chance Cain.
