Hull Garners Jersey Mike’s A Sub Above WAC Player of the Week Recognition

ARLINGTON, Texas - Abilene Christian women's basketball's Payton Hull was named the Jersey Mike's A Sub Above WAC Player of the Week, the Western Athletic Conference announced Monday. Hull averaged nearly 25 points per game last week while fueling ACU to a pair of wins over Tarleton State and Utah Valley.

It's the second Player of the Week honor of the season for Hull and the fourth of her career. She trails only the Wildcats' leading Division I scorer, Alexis Mason, who picked up five Southland Conference Player of the Week accolades in her career.

Hull was previously recognized on Dec. 15, 2025 and was twice named the Player of the Week in the 2024-25 campaign. She was the TicketSmarter WAC Newcomer of the Week on three occasions as a freshman in 2023-24. It's the fourth Player of the Week recognition for ACU this season, with Meredith Mayes and Erin Woodson also taking home the honor.

In a rare three-game week for the Wildcats, Hull averaged 24.7 points per game while knocking down over half her shots at a .558 mark. The junior guard one-upped herself with a 28-point effort on 10-of-13 shooting in a 70-50 victory versus the Wolverines on Feb. 5. It marked Hull's most points in a conference matchup since her freshman campaign and, along with her outing against Tarleton State, the two highest-scoring performances in the WAC last week. Her 10 field goals were the most in a WAC matchup.

Hull registered a season-high five three-pointers on seven attempts versus Utah Valley, the second-most makes from beyond the arc by a WAC student-athlete last week. She combined with Woodson for 52 points, the most by a Wildcat duo since 2022-23. Hull chipped in three rebounds, three assists and tied to pace ACU with four steals.

Hull closed out her sensational week with 19 points on a trio of three-pointers in a narrow 74-71 loss to California Baptist. Hull led the Wildcats with four assists and came away with six rebounds and three steals.

Hull tops the WAC in scoring with 17.9 points per game, over two points ahead of the second-highest scorer. Her .418 field goal percentage is fifth in the conference, and her .814 free throw percentage is third. Hull is second with 2.3 three-pointers per game while landing in the WAC's top 10 for assists and steals.

In conference action, Hull continues to lead the WAC with 17.8 points per game at a .405 clip. Her 3.0 steals per matchup are good for second.
