ACU senior
Bradyn Hubbard earned his second conference award in three weeks, as he was named the University Credit Union WAC Player of the Week on Monday.
In the Wildcats' two games last week, Hubbard averaged 24.5 points per game on 60% (15-for-25) shooting from the field, including 71% (5-for-7) from behind the arc. The senior from Tulsa also added 5.5 rebounds and two steals per contest.
Hubbard previously won the honor on Dec. 29 for a 22-point game at Texas Southern.
He started the week with a 22-point performance in an 84-80 victory at Tarleton State, and then upped his game to a Division I career-high 27 points at UT Arlington last Saturday. Hubbard has dropped in at least 20 points in four of the past five games and has seven total for the season.
The 27 points surpassed his previous best of 26, which came in a victory over Omaha on Nov. 6, 2025. Hubbard poured in 35 points three separate times as a sophomore in junior college at Connors State (Okla.). He enters this week with 1,987 points for his entire college career (1,390 at Connors State, 597 at ACU).
This is ACU's third weekly conference award of the season. To go along with Hubbard's pair of WAC Player of the Week awards,
Cbo Newton was named the WAC Newcomer of the Week on Dec. 22. The three awards matches the most in a single-season by ACU since moving to Division I. The Wildcats had three Southland Conference Player of the Week winners during the 2018-19 season (Jaren Lewis twice, and Payten Ricks once).Â

CBU was voted as the preseason favorite to win the WAC, but lost its first three conference games. The Lancers have rebounded to win their last two, including a 58-55 nail-biter over Southern Utah on Saturday.
