Wildcats’ 2025-26 Roster Takes Shape With Pair of Transfer Signees

ABILENE - Abilene Christian women's basketball rounded out its roster for the 2025-26 campaign with a pair of offseason transfer additions. Redshirt junior guard Jazmyn Stone joins the Wildcats after three seasons at the College of Charleston, while junior post Jordyn Coleman makes her way to the Big Country following two years at the junior college level with Triton College.

Stone and Coleman build upon an ACU roster returning six of its top eight scorers from the 2024-25 season. Head coach Julie Goodenough and the Wildcats also signed four incoming freshmen from the high school ranks.

"The priority in our spring recruiting was to add a true point guard and a post player to our Wildcat family," Goodenough said. "Our staff did a great job in identifying talent and we are so excited about adding two experienced and skilled players who will make immediate impacts on our program."

Stone appeared in all but one game for Charleston this past season as it built a 25-8 record with a 14-4 mark in Coastal Athletic Association action. The Cougars earned their most wins in Division I history and reached the Super 16 round of the Women's National Invitational Tournament. Over the past two years, Charleston went 47-18 overall and 27-9 in conference play.

After redshirting her sophomore season with an injury, Stone returned to the hardwood in 2024-25 to average 20.8 minutes per game while making 10 starts. The Federal Way, Wash. native tallied 7.3 points, 1.6 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.1 steals per game and connected on 32.0% of her shots with a 30.3% clip from three-point range. She carried an 81.2% mark at the free throw line.

"Jaz is a skilled ball handler with good court vision who can create for herself as well as others," Goodenough said. "Her ability to score from the three-point line will make her another good scoring threat on the perimeter. She is a good addition to our backcourt that loves good on-ball pressure."

The 5-foot-6 Stone opened the season with a 20-point effort versus Robert Morris and went on a heater down the stretch, starting six of the Cougars' last eight games. She scored in the double figures in six of those matchups, averaging 11.3 points with 2.1 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.6 steals.

Stone made an instant impact for the Cougars as a true freshman in 2022-23, playing in 27 of 29 games and averaging 23.6 minutes. She recorded 9.1 points per game alongside 2.0 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.1 steals.

Within her first seven collegiate games, Stone launched a streak of four games with 20 points or more. She capped it with a 32-point effort against Charleston Southern behind 11 field goals and five three-pointers, earning CAA Player of the Week honors. Stone led Charleston in free throw percentage at 78.3%.

Coleman was one of the most successful centers at the junior college level last season, averaging 16.8 points, 12.6 rebounds and 2.7 blocks per game while leading the NJCAA's 27th-ranked offense in scoring. She was named an NJCAA Division I Honorable Mention All-American and earned Region 4 First Team accolades while guiding the Trojans to the Region 4 Championship with a 27-5 record.

The Zionsville, Ind. product ranked fifth in the nation with 403 total rebounds and led the country with 210 offensive boards. Her 85 blocks were good for second-most as she scored at a 48.7% clip in 2024-25, starting 30 of the Trojans' 32 games.

"Jordyn's stats really speak on her junior college success and we believe her game will definitely translate to the DI level," Goodenough said. "She brings grit and toughness to the paint in scoring and in rebounding. I also appreciate how hard she works defending the low post."

Coleman made her mark in the Triton College record books as the program's all-time leading rebounder with 820 boards while ranking second with 163 blocks. Her 1,008 career points rank fifth in team history. Over 63 career games, she scored in the double figures 55 times with 44 double-doubles.

Coleman scored a career-high 30 points versus the Governors State JV team on Feb. 13, one of 21 double-doubles she recorded as a sophomore. She tallied a career-best 22 rebounds on two occasions as a freshman in 2023-24.

Coleman wasted little time adjusting to the college game as a freshman, averaging 15.2 points, 13.5 rebounds and 2.5 blocks across 31 games and 24 starts. She led the Trojans in rebounding, blocks and shooting percentage at 47.5%. Triton reached the Region 4 Championship with a 23-8 mark.

ACU is coming off its deepest postseason run in the program's 12-year Division I history after reaching the WNIT's Super 16. With a 22-13 record and a 9-7 mark in Western Athletic Conference play, the Wildcats accrued their most victories, highest overall winning percentage and highest conference winning percentage since 2020.
