ABILENE - Abilene Christian will be represented across Major League Baseball and Minor League Baseball this summer as the Colorado Rockies, Houston Astros and Texas Rangers each host ACU at the Ballpark gatherings in June. The events bring Wildcat alumni together to enjoy an MLB game while connecting with fellow supporters of ACU.
The Rockies host the first ACU at the Ballpark event of the season on Tuesday, June 10, as they take on the San Francisco Giants in Denver. Tickets include a color-changing ACU stadium cup, and a $15 credit redeemable for food, drink and merchandise on the day of the game at Coors Field. It's also BOGO Hot Dog Night at the stadium, with first pitch scheduled for 6:40 p.m. (MT). Fans can also enjoy a pregame party with ACU alumni in the stadium from 5:00-6:30 p.m.
The Astros will bring ACU at the Ballpark to Daikin Park on Friday, June 13, when they host the Minnesota Twins. Tickets must be purchased by June 9 at 11:59 p.m. and include an exclusive ACU-themed Astros jersey (while supplies last). First pitch is at 7:10 p.m. with an orange Hawaiian shirt giveaway for the first 10,000 fans and postgame fireworks. Fans will pick up their jerseys by the Union Station Cafe, where they can hang out and connect with other Wildcat fans.
The Rangers host ACU at the Ballpark on Friday, June 27, against the Seattle Mariners at Globe Life Field in Arlington. Tickets include a co-branded ACU-themed Rangers jersey and must be purchased by June 25 at 11:59 p.m. First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m.
For the first time, ACU at the Ballpark will also be expanding to several Texas minor league games with alumni gatherings with the Frisco RoughRiders on July 31, Sugar Land Space Cowboys on August 1, Round Rock Express on August 2 and San Antonio Missions on August 5.
