Abilene Christian linebacker
Rashon Myles, Jr., has been named the United Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced Monday afternoon.
It's the second time Myles has earned the honor. The first came after a three-fumble recovery performance in ACU's win vs. Austin Peay on Sept. 20.
In the Wildcats' 31-28 victory over No. 2 Tarleton State last Saturday, Myles led all players with 11 tackles, three tackles for loss, and two sacks.
It was the fourth time in 2025 that Myles had a double-digit tackle total, but his two sacks of TSU's quarterback were Myles' first of the season.
Myles is third in the conference with 80 total tackles. Teammate
Will Shaffer is fifth in the UAC with 75 stops to his name.
The Wildcats play Utah Tech on Saturday at 2 p.m. for their
Senior Day / Sideline Scholars game, presented by Hendrick Health.
