ABILENE – The ACU Women's Basketball team is set to welcome Utah Valley to Moody Coliseum this Saturday, January 4, for the first Western Athletic Conference (WAC) matchup of the season. Tip-off is scheduled for 1 p.m. CT.
The Wildcats enter the game riding a wave of momentum from a stellar non-conference performance that saw them reel off nine consecutive victories. This marks their longest winning streak since the 2015-16 season when they won 14 straight en route to a championship campaign.
ACU's impressive start has been fueled by a potent offense and lockdown defense, consistently delivering standout performances on both ends of the court. The Wildcats will look to carry that form into conference play to solidify their position as contenders in the WAC.
Looking back at last season, the Wildcats took the victory over Utah Valley in Orem, solidifying a substantial margin, 81-50. The Wildcats have been able to hold each series against the Wolverines since ACU joined the WAC in the 2021-22 season.
Utah Valley will present a tough challenge, standing third in the WAC. Extending the streak with a crucial first conference win would give the Wildcats a good idea of what this conference season will look like.
Tickets are available online or at the Moody Coliseum box office. Fans unable to attend in person can catch all the action live on
