ABILENE – ACU Cross Country heads to Columbia, Missouri, this week to compete in the Gans Creek Classic hosted by the University of Missouri. The men's race kicks off at 8 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 27, followed by the women's race at 8:45 a.m. Both teams will test themselves on the Gans Creek Course, which is set to host the 2025 NCAA Division I National Championships.
This will be a key competition for the Wildcats as they continue to sharpen their skills ahead of the WAC Championships next month. With several top programs competing at Gans Creek, ACU will have the opportunity to measure themselves against strong opposition on a nationally recognized course.
The men's team looks to build on standout performances from senior Kevin Castruita, who has led the Wildcats in each meet so far this season. On the women's side, Katelyn Coldicott and Peyton Bornstein have been consistent top performers, aiming to continue their success in Missouri.
This event is an exciting opportunity for the Wildcats to preview a course that will host the highest level of competition in 2025, as they strive to build momentum for the remainder of the season.
