Cats Fall to Texas Tech

ABILENE – Abilene Christian scored six runs on seven hits but lost to Texas Tech 15-6 on Wednesday.
 
After falling behind 6-0, ACU got on the board when Avery Miloch scored on a wild pitch and Riley White tacked on an RBI single to left to make it a 6-2 game in the second inning.
 
Olivia Marble extended her hitting streak to 14 games with a solo home run in the third.
 
The Wildcats scored the last three runs in the fifth on an RBI fielder choice by Sammie Shelander and a two-run single by Miloch. Miloch's two RBIs bring her career total to 96.
 
Miloch led the Wildcats with two hits, including a double. Randi Davila also added a double. Shelander, Kaydee Bennett and White also had singles.
 
White took the pitching loss.
 
ACU returns to Western Athletic Conference action this weekend at Southern Utah, starting with a 2 p.m. (CT) doubleheader on Friday.
