ABILENE – Abilene Christian finished the California Baptist series with a 4-0 win on Sunday, getting a stellar pitching performance from
Brett Lanman.
Lanman (6-1) took a no-hitter into the sixth and combined with
Caden Greanead for the three-hit shutout. Lanman struck out five in 7.1 innings, allowing two hits. Greanead came on in the eighth with a runner at second and picked up his second save.
The Wildcats got all the runs they needed with a three-run first inning when
Maddox Miesse had a two-run single and Garret Williams tacked on an RI double.
Miller Ladusau scored on a wild pitch in the seventh.
The Wildcats had eight hits, including two singles by Ladusau, doubles by Williams and
Zandt Payne and singles by
Benjamin Greer, Miesse,
Gino D'Alessio and
Holden Rook.
The Wildcats finish the nine-game homestand with a 6:05 p.m. non-conference game against Tarleton State on Tuesday.
