LUBBOCK – Abilene Christian dropped a 9-4 contest at Texas Tech on Tuesday, coming up with four runs on four hits.
The Wildcats scored twice in the first inning without a hit when
Ranse Radtke drew a bases-loaded walk and
Miller Ladusau later came in on a passed ball.
Tech scored three in the first and built the lead throughout the rest of the game but ACU got a scoreless inning each out of relievers
Parker Matthews and
Blaine Palmer.
Zion Stephens scored on a wild pitch in the eighth and
Reese Borho had an RBI ground out for the final 9-4 margin in the ninth.
Rolando De La Cruz took the loss for ACU.
The Cats had four singles – one each from
Zandt Payne,
Gino D'Alessio,
Bobby Serfass and
Benjamin Greer.
ACU heads to Sacramento State for a three-game Western Athletic Conference series, beginning Friday afternoon.
