SACRAMENTO – Abilene Christian came up on the wrong end of an 11-2 final at Sacramento State on Friday.
The Wildcats scored twice on seven hits.
Miller Ladusau homered in the sixth to break up the Hornets' shutout and make it a 5-1 game.
Garrett Williams added an RBI single in the eighth.
Ladusau and Williams had two hits each with
Zandt Payne,
DJ Van Atten and
Maddox Miesse contributing a single each.
Austin Glaze absorbed the loss to fall to 2-2.
The teams meet again at 9 p.m. Central on Saturday and finish the series on Sunday.
