Wildcats to Host Seattle, UVU this Week

ABILENE – After two weeks on the road, Abilene Christian returns to Moody Coliseum to start a four-game home stand with two games this week.
 
ACU hosts Seattle at 6 p.m. on Thursday before entertaining Utah Valley at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
 
The Wildcats are 8-11 overall and 4-6 in the Western Athletic Conference after a 74-66 loss at Tarleton State last Thursday.
 
Seattle comes in at 1-19 on the season and 1-10 in league play. Utah Valley visits Tarleton State on Thursday and comes into the week at 8-12 overall and 3-8 against the WAC.
 
ACU Storylines
 
Three-Ball: Abilene Christian is sixth in the NCAA and second in the WAC with 28.8 three-point attempts per game. They also are second in the WAC and 18th nationally with 8.8 made three-pointers per contest. Payton Hull has been the team and conference leader with 2.68 made three-pointers per game and 140 attempts on the season. She is second in the WAC at 36.4 percent shooting from the perimeter.
 
Minutes Made: Bella Earle has been a workhorse for ACU. She leads the Western Athletic Conference with 34.7 minutes per game.
 
Leaders: Payton Hull leads the Wildcats with 15.2 points per game and Bella Earle averages 11.6 points and team-leading 7.9 rebounds per game.
 
Triple-Double: Bella Earle is third nationally and leads the WAC with her two triple-doubles this season. Iowa superstar Caitlin Clark has four.
 
Last Game: Bella Earle led the Wildcats with 14 points and four assists while Meredith Mayes ended with 11 points and a team-leading seven rebounds in a 74-66 loss at Tarleton State. Payton Hull scored 10 points.
 
History with Seattle: ACU is 1-1 against Seattle, including a 49-43 win in Seattle last season. Addison Martin had 12 points and nine rebounds for the Wildcats in that game.
 
Scouting the Redhawks: Seattle averages 24 three-point attempts per game. Mya Moore leads the team with 12 points and 7.9 rebounds per game. She also is second in the WAC with 1.4 blocked shots per game. Makayla Moore averages 10.7 points per game. Seattle is on a 13-game losing streak and the Redhawks are 0-10 on the road. They lost their last game, 86-77, at home to California Baptist.
 
History with Utah Valley: ACU has won all three of the previous meetings with UVU, including a 73-46 win in Abilene last season. Addison Martin had 20 points and Bella Earle added 11 points and eight rebounds in that win.
 
Scouting the Wolverines: Utah Valley is on a two-game slide after losing at Grand Canyon, 66-52, on Saturday. The Wolverines are 2-8 on the road. Kylee Mabry leads the team with 7.9 points and 2.2 steals per game. Tessa Chaney averages 6.5 points and 6.3 rebounds. UVU leads the WAC and is seventh nationally with 15 bench points per game. The team also is 15th nationally with 11.4 steals per game and forces 20.6 turnovers per game.
