ABILENE – Abilene Christian scored in double figures for the third consecutive game, dealing a 10-4 loss to Northern Illinois on Saturday.

Garrett Williams was four for four with two RBIs and
Gino D'Alessio drove in four runs on two hits. Both players had home runs.

D'Alessio got ACU on the scoreboard first with a two-run single. Williams added an RBI double and
DJ Van Atten singled in a run for a 4-0 lead in the second.

NIU made it a 4-1 game in the third, but as they have done in the entire series so far, the Cats had a response in the home half of the inning.
Reese Borho singled home a pair of runs for a 6-1 ACU lead.

Williams and D'Alessio tacked on solo home runs in the sixth for a 9-1 lead and
Holden Rook drew a bases-loaded walk for the 10
th run in the eighth inning.

ACU finished the game with 10 hits with
Cade McGarrh chipping in a double and a single.

Brett Lanman picked up the win with six strikeouts in his scheduled four innings.
