After the first day, the Wildcats also broke the tournament's 36-hole record, shooting 25 under on the first day.
The tournament's 11-team field also included two teams fielded by host Rice, UL-Monroe, Wichita State, UTRGV, Lamar, Houston Christian, Samford and UT Arlington.
Individually, Preston Cooper led the team shooting 10 under par, earning him fifth overall in the tournament. Throughout the tournament, Cooper earned 18 birdies.
Finishing right behind Cooper in sixth was Jaime Lewis, who shot nine under par for the whole tournament.
