Hill Scores in ACU Exhibition Loss

ABILENE – Abilene Christian played a solid second half and scored the only goal of the half but came away on the short end of a 2-1 exhibition loss to St. Mary's on Sunday.
Peyton Hill scored the lone Wildcats goal, using an assist from Jordan Michie midway through the second half. Hill powered the shot off the Rattler defense and found the net.
It was just a nice cross from Jordan and Peyton put her body on the line for
"Our play in the first 10 minutes was really good," said ACU Head Coach Stephen Salas. "I thought the girls played well. Two special goals by the other team. I was very impressed with our overall physical play. They're ready. We just have to reorganize.
The regular season launches Friday in Beaumont when the Cats visit Lamar for a 7 p.m. contest.
