ACU Unveils Cross Country Schedule

ABILENE – Abilene Christian launches a Big Country-friendly cross country schedule in September under first-year coach Nathan Meeuwenberg.
Half of ACU's six scheduled meets are set for Abilene, including the season opener – McMurry's Big Country Festival on Friday, Sept. 1.
The Wildcats host the Naimadu Classic on Oct. 13 and the WAC Championships two weeks after that.
"With ACU hosting the WAC conference championships we are going to stay close to home for a lot of the season," said Meeuwenberg. "We are going to focus on being at our best when it matters the most; at the end of October and beginning of November. I think the team will be peaked and ready to roll by then."
The Wildcats were third in both the Naimadu races last season.
ACU competes in the Texas A&M Invite in College Station on Sept. 15.
The Cats are in Fayetteville, Arkansas, twice: on Sept. 29 for the Chile Pepper Invite and again on Nov. 10 for the South Central Region Championships.
ACU's women finished eighth and the men were 26th in the Chile Pepper Invite last season.
