Padgett Transfers to ACU Softball

ABILENE – Skylar Padgett, a shortstop who spent four seasons at North Dakota State, transfers to Abilene Christian for her graduate transfer softball season in 2023-24.
 
A native of Grants Pass, Oregon, Padgett earned Summit League All-Tournament honors in 2022. She started 100 games at shortstop over the last two seasons.
 
In high school, she earned second-team Oregon Class 6A honors as a pitcher in 2016 and as a shortstop in 2017. She pitched every postseason game in 2016, leading Grants Pass to a fourth-place finish in the 6A State Tournament, including a shutout in the State semifinals.
 
Her mother, Beverly, played at Fresno State.
 
"Skylar is a huge pickup for us!" said ACU Head Coach Abigail Farler. "She is a versatile athlete who will help us in the middle infield for her final season. Skylar brings four years of college experience and incredible energy and leadership."
