LUBBOCK – Abilene Christian turned in some solid marks at the Matador Qualifier on Friday, the final tune-up to the WAC Indoor Championships.

The throwers had a big day with three new top-10 school marks.

Tyler Richardson vaulted into the ACU top five in the shot put with a heave of 60 feet, 6.75 inches to win the event.
Athan Huelskamp placed third at 53-1.75 and
Colt Cooper had a throw of 47-4.25. Richardson also had a weight throw of 60-1 and Huelskamp turned in a 59-2.

Zoe Burleson improved her own No. 5 ACU mark with a throw of 49-1.75 in the shot put while
Kailey Roskop improved on her previous No. 10 mark in the weight throw at 54-5.25. Burleson had a weight throw of 51-9.25.

On the track for the men, Christian ran the 60 hurdles in 8.39 seconds and
Noah Jones turned in a 51.14 in the 400 meters.

In the men's 800, Cooper Goggan ran a 1:54.11, followed by
Maxwel Kiplagat at 1:56.99,
Neal Helgerson at 1:57.98,
Keaton Raney at 1:58.15,
Garrison Shindler at 1:590.28 and
JP Trook at 1:59.94.

Ethan Christian pole vaulted 13-3.25.

For the women,
Natalie Poe ran the 60 hurdles in 10.11 with
Skylar Harris checking in at 10.14.

Jessica Campbell cleared 5-3.25 in the high jump.

The Wildcats head to Spokane, Wash., next weekend for the WAC Indoor Championships.
