Cats Host McMurry on Monday

ABILENE – Abilene Christian hosts McMurry in the Christmas Staycation game at 6 p.m. on Monday in Moody Coliseum.
 
The Wildcats are 4-4 after a 77-60 loss at unbeaten TCU on Tuesday.
 
McMurry comes in at 7-1 after a 69-63 win against Howard Payne on Saturday.
 
ACU Storylines
 
Last Game: The Cats found themselves down 26-4 late in the first quarter and the Frogs led 33-12 with 7:40 left in the half before ACU sprang to life. Kenadi Rising scored all eight of her points and Bella Earle added six in a 19-2 ACU run that saw the Wildcats close the gap to 37-33 late in the second quarter. Earle had 20 points and nine rebounds for the game and Peyton Hull added 12 points.
 
Previous Meeting: ACU is 3-0 against McMurry since moving to Division I. The Wildcats won last year's meeting 82-52. Addison Martin had 15 points and Claire Graham added 12 for ACU in the victory.
 
That Freshman: Freshman Payton Hull leads the Wildcats with 17.6 points per game and carries a conference-leading 44.4 accuracy mark from three-point range. She has twice been named the Western Athletic Conference Newcomer of the Week. Hull is seventh in the nation and leads the WAC with 3.5 three-pointers per game.
 
All-Around Earle: Bella Earle is second on the team in scoring at 13.1 points and leads the team with 7.9 rebounds and 3.9 assists. Earle has two triple-doubles this season and shared the NCAA lead with Zaay Green of Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
 
Living at the Arch: ACU is 10th in the nation with 28.1 three-point attempts per game. Payton Hull leads the category for ACU with 63 attempts, followed by Earle with 43 and Aspen Thornton with 34. The Cats are knocking down 9.5 per game.
 
Four Score: ACU has four players averaging in double figures this season. Along with Payton Hull's 17.6 and Bella Earle's 13.1, the Cats have Aspen Thornton at 11.4 and Addison Martin at 10.9.
