
Soccer Position Preview: Newcomers

As the 16th season of ACU soccer inches closer, it's time to finish taking an in-depth look at the Wildcat roster. The two-day position preview series wraps up with the key newcomers at all positions on the pitch, as head coach Casey Wilson brings in 11 new players. There are some exciting new players at each and every position that will provide depth and challenge to earn starting jobs this season. Let's meet the newcomers.

I think this group has the potential to earn a lot of playing time. It's a very talented group of new players. All 11 newcomers are incoming freshmen, and they are taking in a lot of information in a short amount of time. It's an exciting group to be around.Head Coach Casey Wilson

#0 Lili Ross - Goalkeeper
“Absolutely can make an impact. It's nice to have that depth at that position, with Lily [Foster] returning. I think Lili can make a huge impact right away.” - Head Coach Casey Wilson
• 2022 First Team All-State at West Brook HS in Beaumont, Texas
#2 Hannah Vetromile - Forward / Midfield
“She can make an instant impact at the mid and forward spot. I think she has a very high ceiling for how she can help us, and it can happen right away.” - Head Coach Casey Wilson
• Scored 27 goals and tallied 11 assists during her senior season at Liberty Christian HS in Justin, Texas
#7 Jillian Beck - Forward / Defender
“Jill can play a couple positions and is such a good player. She has high character and is a really good soccer player.” - Head Coach Casey Wilson
• Named first team all-league each year from 2018-21 at Valley Christian HS in Lakewood, Calif.
#18 McCarly Holloman - Defender
“McCarly has worked really hard this fall, and can contribute right away to our defense. She can run, she can defend, and she's a smart player.” - Head Coach Casey Wilson
• Was a two-time state champion in track & field at Midland Christian HS in Midland, Texas
#22 Olivia Bos - Defender
“Olivia is a winner, and she has a high soccer IQ. I'm excited for her potential with us this season.” - Head Coach Casey Wilson
• Named first team all-district as a senior
NEWCOMERS
#13 Peyton Hill - Forward
• Lettered in soccer and track & field at Aliso Niguel HS in Laguna Niguel, Calif.
#15 Mary Waiwaiole - Defender / Midfield
• Was a three-time top-eight finisher for Round Rock HS in Round Rock, Texas
#24 Aliyah Anderson - Defender / Midfield
• Named All-State First Team and All-Region First Team at Scottsdale Christian Academy in Phoenix, Ariz.
#27 Georgia Guenther - Defender
• Named Honorable Mention All-District at Coram Deo Academy in Plano, Texas
#29 Amelia Leggett - Forward
• Named first team all-district and the district MVP at Wylie HS in Wylie, Texas
#77 Lox Neves - Forward
• Named Utah All-Valley First Team in 2020, as well as Region VIII First Team that same year at Springville HS in Palmyra, Utah
