Grad transfer Maleeah Langstaff heads to ACU for final year

ABILENE – ACU women's basketball head coach Julie Goodenough announced the signing of grad transfer Maleeah Langstaff for the 2022-23 season. Langstaff comes to ACU after a three-year playing career at Winthrop, before finishing up with a year at Northeastern State last season. The Wildcats will have quite a bit of turnover heading into next season with the graduation of five players, and Langstaff helps fill the void at the forward position. The task is not only to fill in numbers but to fill in talent and character. It's about more than just basketball. It's about being an ACU Wildcat. And Langstaff fits the bill heading into the fall.

Recruiting never stops. With the availability of players from the transfer portal, that statement is more true than it has ever been. We are so grateful for the transfers we have signed this spring and are incredibly excited that Maleeah will be joining us for her super senior season. She is coming off an awesome season as her team's leading scorer and rebounder. Her ability to finish in the paint combined with her tenacious rebounding mentality will be welcomed attributes. She also brings intensity and athleticism to the defensive end of the floor.

I talked to past, present and future ACU women's basketball players, and they all said the same thing. These coaches are genuine people and leaders that live what they preach. Hearing that made my decision easier and I couldn’t be more excited that I get to do my fifth year at ACU.
