Diomede leads the way on Day Two in Stockton

STOCKTON, Calif. – The ACU golf team wrapped up the second day of the NCAA Regional in Stockton, Calif. on Tuesday afternoon, shooting 2-over for the round as a team. Individually, Logan Diomede highlighted the effort for the Purple and White, while Zane Heusel and Alex Clouse each added an eagle on the 11th hole.
"This was not the best of days for us, although we did get off to a nice start. The conditions were very scorable, but the back nine was a struggle for us. We need to do a better job on the greens tomorrow and we will move up the leaderboard," head coach Tom Shaw said. "I was pleased to see Logan give us an under-par today, and that kind of performance is what great teams do regularly. It's been a special year already, and it will take a Herculean effort to finish in the top five, but I wouldn't put anything past these guys. It wouldn't surprise me to see the magic continue tomorrow."
