Wildcats close out trip to Arizona with first victory of 2022 season

MESA, Ariz. – The ACU beach volleyball team picked up a 3-2 win over Benedictine Mesa on Monday to close out a six-match road swing in the desert. Logan Browning and Sarah Nading teamed up for the clinch point on Monday, coming away with a 15-12 victory in the third set.

GCU Tournament

ACU fell 5-0 at the hands of host and perennial powerhouse Grand Canyon on Friday morning.
The Wildcats turned their attention to a two-match day but fell to Missouri State and Texas A&M Kingsville.

Benedictine Mesa

With the 'Cats down 2-0 and on the brink of seeing the Redhawks clinch, Madison Lawler and Breanna Box picked up 21-16 and 21-5 victories to get ACU on the board.
Brittney Roberts and Emily Van Dyke came from down a set to take the second one 21-15 and finish it with a 15-11 victory in the third.
Browning and Nading won their first set of the match but fell in a tight battle in the second set to force a decisive third, where the Wildcats came away with the 15-12 victory and the first team win of the season.

Up Next

The Purple and White return to action this weekend, when they head to Nacogdoches to take part in a tournament hosted by SFA. The Wildcats will play Central Arkansas and Hendrix on Saturday before taking on Southeastern Louisiana and SFA on Sunday.
