ABILENE – Grad transfer
Jamie Bonnarens led the way with 20 points for the Abilene Christian women's basketball team at UTRGV on Saturday afternoon. The Wildcats (14-8, 6-5 WAC) got outscored 44-30 in the second half as they dropped an 82-62 decision in their rematch with the Vaqueros (9-14, 5-6 WAC). ACU will head to the Windy City on Monday for a make-up game against Chicago State.
Turning Point: The fourth quarter.
ACU trailed by nine going into the fourth quarter, but UTRGV out-shot the Wildcats 76% to 38% in the final 10 minutes. The Vaqueros outscored ACU 24-13 to pull away.

Madi Miller hit a three-pointer to get ACU back within nine going to the fourth quarter, 58-49.

- Bonnarens recorded her 15th double-digit game and her third 20-point effort of the year. The grad transfer hit four three-pointers and added four rebounds.

Up Next
ACU heads way up to the Windy City on Monday, Feb. 7 for a rescheduled game with Chicago State. The game was originally scheduled for this past Wednesday, but was moved due to bad weather across the country. Tip-off is slated for 1 p.m. on Monday afternoon. The game will air on ESPN+ and 102.7 The Bear.
