MBB returns home to host North American, Arlington Baptist

ABILENE – The men's basketball team returns to Moody Coliseum after a lengthy road trip as they host North American on Wednesday night. The Wildcats will look to remain unbeaten at home and build off their win over Northern Arizona on Sunday. The team will remain at home this week to host Arlington Baptist on Saturday at 2 p.m. Both games will be broadcast on ESPN+ and the ACU Sports Network.

• PLEASANT MAKES HIS RETURN TO THE COURT | After his brief season debut in a home game against McMurry, Joe Pleasant saw his role grow during last week's road trip. He saw his minutes increase in Las Vegas and earned his first start of the season at Northern Arizona. He scored a season-high eight points and grabbed four rebounds against NAU, he also has recorded five steals in five games on the year. 
• STEELE LIGHTS IT UP ON THE ROAD | Cameron Steele put together a solid week in Las Vegas and Flagstaff as he scored in double figures in all four games. He lit it up from the field shooting 62 percent over the four games while also shooting 57 percent from deep. He hit three or more threes in all but one game of the trip. 
• CAMERON GOES FOR A CAREER-HIGH | Tobias Cameron was a bright spot for the Wildcats on opening night as he dropped 18 points to match a career-high in scoring that included going 4-7 from deep. He also grabbed six boards and had two blocked shots in a stellar performance to open his final season in Abilene.
• WILDCATS OPEN MOODY WITH A WIN | The Wildcats opened the 22-23 season with a win over Jackson State in the newly renovated Moody Coliseum. In front of a crowd of nearly 2,500 people ACU jumped out to a 20-point halftime lead behind a hot shooting start and a stifling defense. The team had to fend off a furious comeback attempt by the Tigers as the Wildcats struggled to find their offense in the second half, but came away with a 65-56 victory to start the season 1-0.
• DANIELS, CAMERON EYE 100 CAREER WINS | With the Wildcats putting together four-consecutive 20-win seasons, both Damien Daniels and Tobias Cameron are nearing 100 career wins. Now at three wins on the year, the pair sits at 99 wins with the 'Cats.

SCOUTING NORTH AMERICAN (0-3)

• The Stallions are 0-3 on the year in official competition, but have played eight total games on the year. 
• In their official competitions, the team is averaging 71.7 points per game and put up a season-high 76 points in a loss to Lamar. 

SCOUTING ARLINGTON BAPTIST (0-4)

• The Patriots are also looking for their first win of the year and while their official record is 0-4 they have played 11 total games on the year. 
• The team is led by Daylen Minor who is averaging 17.5 points per game.
