ARLINGTON, Texas—After falling behind 2-0 against UT Arlington on Thursday night, Abilene Christian battled back to force a decisive fifth set. The Wildcats struggled defensively early but were able to bounce back after dropping a tight second set. The team earned a close third set win before dominating the fourth set and allowing just six kills to the Mavericks. ACU got out to a 4-1 lead in the fifth set, and held the 8-5 lead when the tams switched sides, but UTA was able to tie the set late and earn the 18-16 set win to take the match.

- Brea Box led the team with 15 kills to match a career-high while hitting .500 for the match. It was her fourth double-digit kill outing of the season.
- Jada Birkel notched her seventh double-digit kill performance of the season and matched a season-high with 12 kills.
- Braden Bossier and Bryley Steinhilber each tallied double-digit kills as well with Steinhilber adding 11 digs for her eighth double-double of the year.
- Andie Sheppard continued her solid play as libero, tallying her first-career 20-dig match.
- Madeline Guffy led the Wildcats with 32 assists, while Madison Rohre totaled 23 assists and 11 digs for another double-double.
News and Notes
- Ashli Edmiston totaled eight kills in the match and is the first Wildcat to reach over 200 kills on the year. Edmiston is the first Wildcat freshman to reach 200 kills since Katelyn Mueller in 2017.
- The Wildcats have totaled double-digit service errors in each of their past three matches.
- As a team, ACU outhit the Mavericks tallying 66 kills on a .214 hitting percentage to their 61 kills on a .194 hitting percentage.
