ABILENE—The Wildcats bounced back in a big way after their tough loss Thursday night to take the four-set win over Tarleton in Moody Coliseum. Abilene Christian got out to a quick start on the afternoon, leading 14-5 early against the Texans. Tarleton would come back to take an 18-16 lead before the Wildcats closed the set on a 9-4 run to earn the set one win. The Texans capitalized on several ACU errors to even the match at one set each. ACU flipped a switch between the second and third sets to dominate the Texans behind .464 and .538 hitting percentages in the third and fourth sets, respectively. The Wildcats win marked the first win over the Texans since both programs have been competing at the DI level.

- Three Wildcats totaled double-digit kills led by Bryley Steinhilber with 14 in the match. Steinhilber has now reached double-digit kills in four-straight matches.

- Braden Bossier led the Wildcats up front with six blocks, one solo and five assists, while adding six kills on the day.
- Both Steinhilber and Ashli Edmiston registered double-doubles with kills and digs, for their ninth and eighth double-doubles, respectively.
News and Notes
- Madeline Guffy moved up to fourth all-time for aces in a season at the DI level. She tallied three in the match.
- Steinhilber's .400 hitting percentage in the match is a career-high for the sophomore.
- Since stepping into the libero role, Andie Sheppard has tallied 62 digs while averaging 3.44 digs per set.
Up Next
The Wildcats play their final two home matches of the year next week, hosting Seattle U on Thursday at 7 p.m. and Utah Valley on Saturday at 12 p.m. The Seattle U match will be streamed on ESPN+ and the UVU match will be on WAC International. The team will honor their six seniors next Saturday prior to the match.
